Each year, Cybersecurity Awareness Month features messaging and content to help equip you with resources you need to build your own cybersecurity awareness posture and thwart cyber attacks that you and your organization could be exposed to.
Cybersecurity Awareness Month began in 2004 as a collaborative effort between government and industry to ensure that everyone has the information they need to stay safe and secure online. The program is co-led by the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) and Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), and has grown tremendously over the years. More than 3,000 companies, schools, government agencies, nonprofits and individuals from all fifty states and over fifty countries joined the campaign in 2020 by championing the cause for cybersecurity awareness, embracing cybersecurity culture and educating millions of people worldwide on how to take necessary precautions to be cyber secure.
This year, we’re excited to present, educate, collaborate and help our digital community in a meaningful way to be cyber smart. Beyond our overarching theme of “Do You Part. #BeCyberSmart”, which highlights the individual responsibility everyone plays when it comes to securing our connected world, we also extend what organizations can do to leverage the theme.
Whether you are an independent contractor, freelancer or small, medium or large organization, the process and methods are the same. There is something that everybody could gain.
We encourage you to participate in our month-long events, attend our weekly webinars, read through interesting articles we share and try out our entire suite of offerings that we offer free of cost with no commitments! All of this is presented to you through our Digital Presence, our virtual office. From our virtual office you can download cybersecurity frameworks, plans, processes, toolkits, workflows and much more with the single goal of being cybersmart.
